While browsing through electric vehicle commercials, I found something very interesting.
I landed on a website of an automobile company, Renault Z.E., which I had not recognized and decided to do a bit of exploring ... And what better way to do that than watching videos! Only seconds after watching a commercial, I immediately thought to myself, "Nissan Leaf!"
Check out these two commercials and see for yourself...

Retarded Mercedes SLS Commercial
First of all all I can say is erase the "R Word".
As far as automobiles go nothing gets better than German cars, in particular Mercedes! People who have commented on this ad say it is absurd. I on the other hand think it is far from it. Anyone that has ever driven or owned a German masterpiece such as a Mercedes knows they are nothing short of excellence! With that being said enjoy!

Stuntman or Stunt Car?
Chevy's Sonic commercial is one of the more enticing and interesting car ads I've watched in a long time. Chevy has had the "Like a Rock" slogan for as long as I can remember and what makes something as tough as a rock then skydiving, bungee jumping, kick flipping, and performing with OK GO! Personally I can't stand the look of the car. However, the amount of cool things they do with it in the ad almost makes it appealing. Or it just distracts you from it. I give Chevy a good amount of credit and think the commercial was well planned out. The placement of the Chevy emblem on the bottom of the car during the kick flip is pretty cool.

FIAT 500 Abarth
Selling their cars with beautiful women seems to be Fiats theme. However they have introduced a new tactic. Charlie Sheen! Some people could consider Charlie to be the man of all men. He lives the ultimate playboy life. Most guys would love to life his life and if you say you wouldn't then you should stop lying to yourself. In the commercial they seem to portray this car will make you a "bad ass" or a bad boy. I also like how they show Charlie with an ankle GPS device. This may be hinting at his new show 'Anger Management'

The top 10 ugliest electric cars
Everyone knows electric cars are better for the environment, and that the government always try to give people incentives to get them to buy electric cars. In Norway the government gives you free parking, free pass through a toll both, you can drive in the taxi lanes and many other incentives. All of these things are great, but I still have to admit that most electric cars still look exceptionally unattractive. At least when you are designing an electric car you can at least try to make it look decent! That is why I have made a chart of the top 10 most ugly electric cars I could find.

Brilliant car advertisements
Found some ads online who are brilliant and have used a creative direction. Usually the car commercials just show of the car and a hot woman, but these are more in the design industry. I normally try really hard to avoid ads, but when they are so creative and unusual is it actually pretty amusing. Enjoy!

BMW i Electric Vehicles
Almost every car company is in the process of producing an electric vehicle. Innovation is inevitable. Especially with the constant increase in the price of gas as well as the increase in awareness of global warming and the effects of CO2. Engineers from all over the world are creating designs in the hopes of producing the best electric vehicle in the industry and the first to create a boom in purchasing electric vehicles around the world.

Modern Way of Speed limiting
We belong to it in the news more and more people are driving too strong and may have difficulty keeping speed limit, especially young men are more often a little bit to happy for the accelerator. This problem has Denmark taken a slightly unconventional solution.
As you can see in the clip below, there has been a period of a live speed limit, known as the "speed bandits" who are carefully selected to be on roads near the Danish capital Copenhagen.
Although it seems like a joke, Speed Bandit are indeed a reality, which as in the clip created a lot of attention.

Mitsubishi Motors "Ride The Storm" Commercial.
In 2012 Mitsubishi launched this new commercial in an attempt to prove how durable and rugged their All-Wheel Control is. They took the Lancer, Outlander Sport, and the Outlander and teamed them up with Weather Underground to chase a winter storm.
As you can see they don't show much of them actually chasing the storm, but instead they want the viewers to follow the action on their website. I believe this is a great e-Marketing technique. If Mitsubishi Motors is using a program like Google Analytics this is a great way to see how much of an audience that is being generated from the commercial.
If any of you Bloggers out there want to follow the action cruise into http://www.mitsubishicars.com/storm/
